What you find when you search for an OSM app
We searched the UK App Store for "Online Scout Manager" on 21 October 2026.
There is no app from Online Scout Manager. OSM is a website. Leaders and parents open it in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
"OSM Scout" is a football app. The closest name in the store is a player-scouting tool for Online Soccer Manager, a football game. It is not connected to Scouting.
OSM lists offline access. Its features page includes it, and our comparison with OSM records it as part of the Silver plan and above (checked 3 September 2026).
Scoutworks on your phone
Built for the hall and the campsite, where leaders have a phone and not a laptop.
Installs from the browser
Scoutworks is a progressive web app. Open it on your phone and add it to your home screen. It then opens full screen from its own icon, like any other app, with no app store and no download to update.
A register that works with no signal
Open the Offline Attendance Register before you leave for the hall or the campsite. It loads the member list onto your phone, saves the register while you have no signal, and syncs when you are back online.
Notifications on your phone
Scoutworks can send push notifications to your phone or laptop, for example when a long report has finished, so you do not have to keep the page open.
One Parent Portal per family
Parents use the same app from their own phones: one portal for all their children, whichever section each is in, with events, badge progress, details to keep current and payments.
How to install Scoutworks on your phone
It takes under a minute. You need your Scoutworks login.
iPhone
- Open Scoutworks in your browser and sign in.
- Tap Share (the square with an arrow).
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Android or a computer
- Open Scoutworks in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap Install on the banner, or open the browser menu and tap Install app.
- Or open your avatar menu in Scoutworks and choose Install App.
