Sign-in options

Scoutworks offers three ways to sign in:

  • Email and password — the standard approach.
  • Magic link — a passwordless option that sends a login link to your email.
  • Google — sign in with your Google account (if available).

Signing in with email and password

  1. Go to the Scoutworks login page.
  2. Enter your Email address and Password.
  3. Click Sign In.

If your credentials are correct, you will be taken straight to your dashboard.

If you prefer not to use a password:

  1. On the login page, click Sign in with a magic link.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Check your inbox for the magic link email (check spam/junk if it does not arrive within a minute).
  4. Click the link in the email — you will be signed in automatically and redirected to your dashboard.

Magic links are single-use and expire after a short period for security.

Signing in with Google

If your Scoutworks account is linked to a Google account, click the Google sign-in button on the login page to authenticate via Google.

Forgot your password?

If you cannot remember your password:

  1. On the login page, click Forgot password?.
  2. Enter your email address and submit.
  3. Check your inbox for a password reset email (expires after 1 hour).
  4. Click the reset link and set a new password.

The reset page shows a live PasswordRequirements checklist so you can see exactly what your new password needs. Both the new password and confirmation field have show/hide toggles.

Creating a new account

If you do not have an account yet:

  • Leaders and admins: You will receive an invitation email from your Group Admin. Click the link to set your password and create your account.
  • Parents: You will receive an invitation from a leader. Click the link to set your password and access the parent portal.
  • New groups: Click Sign Up Today on the login page to create a new group with a 6-month free trial.

Session timeout

For security, Scoutworks sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. A warning modal appears 2 minutes before your session expires, giving you a chance to stay signed in.

If you are active in any browser tab, the timer resets across all tabs — so you will not be logged out while actively using Scoutworks in another tab.
