Switching Between Groups

How to switch between multiple Scout groups and districts using the context switcher.

The context switcher

If you belong to more than one Scout group — or if you have access to a district dashboard — you can switch between them instantly using the Context Switcher at the top of the sidebar.

Click the dropdown to see all the groups and districts you have access to.

How it works

The context switcher organises your access into two sections:

  • Scout Groups (green badges) — the Scout groups you belong to, with your role shown as a badge (e.g. "Admin", "Leader").
  • Districts (blue badges) — any district dashboards you have access to.

If a group's subscription has expired, you will see an Expired badge next to it.

Switching groups

  1. Click the context switcher dropdown at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Select the group or district you want to view.

The switch is instant. All data in Scoutworks — members, events, badges, finance — changes to reflect the selected group. The sidebar, dashboard, and all pages update immediately.

Common scenarios

  • Group Scout Leader with two groups — switch between your groups to manage each one independently.
  • District Commissioner — switch between your district dashboard and any groups you lead.
  • Leader in multiple groups — view and manage your section in each group separately.
