Viewing events
Click My Children's Events in the parent sidebar to see all upcoming events for your children. The page shows events in a calendar format with key details visible.
RSVPing to events
When an event requires an RSVP:
- Find the event on your events page.
- Click to open the event details.
- Respond with Yes (attending) or No (not attending).
The RSVP deadline is shown with urgency styling — the colour changes as the deadline approaches, making it clear when your response is needed.
If you cannot change your answer
For some events — usually camps and trips where the group has already paid a deposit or booked transport — your leaders lock the list once you have said yes. If that applies, you will see a short note in place of the Yes / No buttons asking you to contact your leader.
Nothing has gone wrong, and your place is safe. Message your leader and they can change your answer for you.
Event details
Click any event to see full details including:
- Date, time, and location.
- Description and any kit list.
- Cost information.
- Which leaders are attending.
- RSVP deadline.
- The Scout Association's safety and insurance wording.
That last one is the same safety and insurance note you would see on a paper activity form. It is there for information only — your group's leaders look after the wording, so there is nothing for you to fill in or change.
Volunteering as a parent helper
Some events — especially camps, trips, and larger activities — need parent volunteers. If an event has helper slots available, you can sign up directly from the event detail view.
Check your dashboard for events requesting helpers and sign up before the parent helper deadline.
Multiple children
If you have more than one child in the group, you can filter events by child to focus on one at a time. Events for all your children are shown by default.
