Badge Progress
Click Badge Progress in the parent sidebar to see your child's badges. If you have more than one child in the group, pick which child's badges you want to view.
What you can see
The badge progress view groups badges into three sections:
- Badges in progress — badges your child is currently working on, with a progress indicator for each.
- Completed badges — badges your child has earned, with the date awarded.
- Available badges — badges your child hasn't started yet.
Submitting evidence
Leaders sometimes ask parents to send in evidence of work done outside meetings — a photo of a meal cooked at home, a note about a community project, a video of a skill being practised.
To submit evidence:
- Find the badge on the Badge Progress page and open it.
- Pick the requirement (or requirements) you have evidence for.
- For each one you picked, write a short note about what your child did.
- Optionally add photos, videos, or PDFs in the Evidence files (optional) area — up to ten files across the whole submission.
- Submit.
Each requirement gets its own notes field on its own card, so you can describe each one properly. Files you upload in the Evidence files section are shared across every requirement in that submission, so if one photo covers more than one thing, you only need to upload it once.
Coming back to a draft
If you start a submission and then get interrupted, don't worry — your notes are saved as you type. Next time you open that badge you'll see a banner saying Pick up where you left off, or start over. Tap it to carry on from where you stopped.
What happens after you submit
Your evidence goes to the leaders for review. For each requirement, a leader will either:
| Outcome | What it means |
|---|---|
| Approved | That requirement is signed off and counts toward the badge. |
| Re-mapped | The evidence is fine but fits a different requirement on the same badge, so the leader moved it across. No action needed from you. |
| Needs more info | The leader wants you to add something before they can approve it. They'll leave a short explanation of what they're looking for. |
You'll get one email at the end of the review, covering everything — not a separate email per requirement. If nothing needs more info, the email is a quick heads-up and you can get on with your day. If a leader has asked for more info on one or more requirements, the email links you back in.
If a leader asks for more info
When something needs more info, a Needs more info card appears on your parent dashboard showing which badge and how many requirements to look at.
Tap the card to open the resubmit screen. Here you'll see:
- Each returned requirement with the leader's feedback in plain text at the top.
- An editable notes field pre-filled with what you wrote last time — tweak it or replace it with a fresh answer.
- The option to attach new photos or files.
- Any requirements that were approved or re-mapped first time round, shown as read-only for context so you can see the whole badge at a glance.
You only need to fix the requirements the leader flagged. When you tap Resubmit, your new answers go back into the review queue and your original approved requirements stay approved — nothing resets.
Your weekly badge update email
When badges are awarded or completed, you don't have to keep checking the app — a weekly email rounds up what each of your children achieved:
