Your Balance and Payment Statement

How to see what you still owe your group, and how to view or download a statement of everything you have paid.

Working out what you still owe used to mean adding up each payment request yourself. My Finances now does it for you, and keeps a running record of everything you have paid.

Where to find this

Click My Finances in the parent sidebar. Your balance sits at the top of the Overview tab. Your full record is on the Statement tab.

Your current balance

The Current Balance card adds up every payment request that is still outstanding and shows the total, with a breakdown of where each part has got to.

What you seeWhat it means
PendingThe group has asked for this and nothing has been collected yet.
ProcessingThe payment is on its way to your bank.
Payment createdThe collection is booked in and will leave your account on the date shown.
FailedThe collection did not go through. It is still owed, so it stays in your balance.

If nothing is outstanding, the card simply tells you that you are all paid up.

Regular subscriptions are not counted in the balance either — they are collected on their own schedule, and you can see them on the Recurring Payments tab.

Your statement

The Statement tab lists every payment that has gone through, newest first, with the date, the child, the group, what it was for and the amount. Both one-off payments and subscription payments appear, each one listed once.

Use the year picker to move between years. The total for the year you are looking at is shown above the list.

Downloading your statement

Click Download CSV on the Statement tab to save the list as a spreadsheet. It opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

This is useful if you claim tax relief, keep household accounts, or simply want a copy of what you have paid your group over the year.

If a payment is missing

Payments show on the statement once they have settled. A collection that is still on its way appears in your balance instead, and moves across to the statement when it completes. If something is still missing after that, speak to your group — they can see the same records from their side.
