Exporting Your Waiting List from OSM

How to bring your waiting list across from Online Scout Manager — and why it is fine to skip this step if you cannot.

This step is optional

If you keep a waiting list in OSM, it is worth bringing across so you do not lose track of families who are waiting to join. But this is the most optional part of the move — if it proves fiddly, it is perfectly fine to skip it and re-enter the names by hand in Scoutworks.

How to export

Exporting your waiting list relies on OSM's data exporters — the same paid spreadsheet-export tools used for members and badges (included on Silver and Gold, not on the free Bronze plan).

The exact location and wording of the waiting-list export varies, and we have not been able to verify a single click-path that works for every account — so please check this against your own OSM screen. Look for an export or download option on your waiting-list screen. When you find it, OSM will produce a spreadsheet of your waiting list.

If you cannot find an export option — or you are on Bronze and have no export button — you have the same fallbacks as elsewhere: upgrade a section to Silver for the month, use OSM's GDPR data download, or contact OSM support. Or simply skip the export and type the names in.

Bringing your waiting list into Scoutworks

Scoutworks has a proper, built-in waiting list with its own application form — so however you bring the names across, they will have a tidy home.
