When you run a training session for a Young Leader module, you only want to invite the people who still need it. Working that out by hand means checking each Young Leader's record, one by one. Tag the event with the modules it teaches, and the invite list does the checking for you.
Where to find this
Open the event and switch to the Invitations tab. The Young Leader training card sits near the top.
The card only appears when your group has Young Leaders. The filter only works on an Invite only event, so set the event's sign-up mode first. See Inviting Specific Members to Events for how.
Tagging the modules an event teaches
In the Young Leader training card, open the drop-down and pick every module the session covers, from Module A to Module K. Your choice saves straight away.
Under the drop-down, the card tells you how many of your Young Leaders still need those modules.
Who appears in the invite list
Once the event is tagged, the Invite members picker lists only the Young Leaders who:
- have not yet completed at least one of the tagged modules, and
- have completed Module A, the compulsory starting point of the Award.
Module A is the only one with a rule about order. The other modules can be done in any order. If the event also teaches Module A, a Young Leader who hasn't done it yet still appears.
Tick the Young Leaders you want and click Send Invitations, as for any invite-only event.
Seeing who was left out
Below the picker, the Left out list shows each Young Leader the filter removed, with the reason:
| Reason | What it means |
|---|---|
| Already completed Module B | They have done every module this event teaches. |
| Needs Module A first | They haven't completed Module A yet, so this session is too early. |
Inviting someone anyway
Turn on Show everyone to list every Young Leader and every member of the event's sections. Each left-out person still shows their reason, so you can decide case by case. This is useful for a refresher, or when someone has done a module elsewhere that isn't recorded yet.
