Comparison

Scoutworks vs Orgo

Orgo is a membership platform for national organisations, scouts among them. Scoutworks is built for a UK group. Here is how they compare, with a dated source for every Orgo fact.

What Orgo is

Orgo is a general membership platform for federations, associations and organisations with many chapters. Scouting is one of its use cases, and its scout page is written for National Scout Organisations. Its scout page shows a testimonial from the Romanian Scouts and the logos of scout bodies in Portugal, Ukraine, Moldova and Bulgaria.

Orgo is run by S.C. ORGO INFORMATICS SRL, a company in Ploiești, Romania. Its founder says it began in 2013 as a volunteer project for the Romanian Scouts and became a company in 2019. Badges are set up to match each organisation’s own scheme.

Choose Orgo if

  • You run a national or regional organisation with many chapters, and want one platform with your own branding.
  • You want native iOS and Android apps. Orgo has a community app in both stores, and a branded app as a paid add-on.
  • You want features such as eVoting and electronic signatures on documents.

Choose Scoutworks if

  • You are a UK Scout group and want The Scout Association’s sections, badges and policy built in.
  • You want Gift Aid, Direct Debit through GoCardless and UK accounting in the same system.
  • You want a UK company on the ICO register, priced in pounds, for one flat fee a year.
